Uncle Sam Coin Bank has an Uncle Sam hat atop a skull. What message is that???

The skull actually has curly blonde hair. The red, white and blue makes the hat. The bank is made of ceramic and has been hand painted. How do you like the teeth? A whole mouthful. 

Did you ever wonder how Uncle Sam came to be? It is usually associated with a cartoon figure of Yankee Doodle, a British-inspired nickname for American colonials during the American Revolution.
